Samsung TVs. Samsung TVs Latest Samsung TVs of the Year

This year has become a landmark for many TV companies. Now, FullHD is increasingly being replaced by highly detailed UHD. And Samsung, not limiting itself to standard definition, has even expanded its S "UHD lineup, as if hinting at its superiority in terms of screen quality, setting a new standard in devices that reproduce ultra-high-definition multimedia content. This is achieved not only by the new screen. generation, but also a new processor that provides remastering.It is also worth noting that the new line of TVs is mostly represented by the new milestone of Samsung Smart TV operating systems - Tizen.

If you look back in time and look at the development of televisions - so many technologies have sunk into oblivion. And all there is no limit to perfection. And the next step, Samsung decided to combine highly detailed UltraHD technology and proprietary gamut color rendering technology closest to DCI-P3, which is often used in the best cinemas lately. That is, TVs can now display gamuts that were previously inaccessible, which makes the image even richer than standard TVs, which is undoubtedly a pretty serious step towards image perfection. As a result of the introduction of backlight technology using quantum dots, the TV began to work even more economically and brightly, without losing colors even when sunlight hits the screen. And at the same time, MicroDimming technology is able to completely disable the backlight of the screen by zone, thereby achieving the deepest blacks.

SAMSUNG JS9500 (4K)

The JS9500 is Samsung's flagship TV for 2015 and has S'UHD resolution, full HDR (High Dynamic Range) support and wide color gamut. This is Phase 2 of Ultra HD.

SAMSUNG JS9000 (4K)

The JS9000 has S'UHD resolution, which means it will also be able to reproduce a wider color spectrum. It also has full HDR support and all new features, including the new platform. Tizen.

  • Curved screen
  • 4K Ultra HD (SUHD) ? Super Ultra High Definition TV screen is made using quantum dot technology. In SUHD displays, specially developed materials are used, the particles (crystals) of which have an ultra small size of 1.5-5nm
    When voltage is applied to them, they emit light that a person sees, and the color of the radiation depends on the size of the particle.
    SUHD TVs provide higher picture quality than UHD TVs
  • Full HDR support ? High dynamic range standard. Specialized HDR video content combines very bright and very dark areas. HDR can improve contrast from camera to TV, producing vivid whites and deep blacks.
  • Peak Illuminator Pro ? The technology is used in Samsung TVs. Works in TVs with efficient processors for graphics.
    The essence of the technology is to equalize the brightness of individual image elements to create an image without very dark or light areas.
    When shooting high-quality video, the operator chooses the angle, lighting, good optics are used for shooting, which gives an initially high-quality picture. But in the process of overwriting a video that is not the correct exposure when shooting, the color depth of the image is lost. In the dark areas of the image, detail is lost (visually), although there is a gradation of colors in the picture itself. When Peak Illuminator is turned on, image details are more visible and the overall video experience is improved.
    Enabling Peak Illuminator allows you to even out the general background of the image, the dark areas are shown lighter, and there is also a better rendering of color tones.
  • UHD Dimming ? Samsung's advanced UHD Local Dimming technology dramatically enhances picture detail in the brightest and darkest areas of an image for ideal levels of contrast and color. A 4x UHD TV resolution means you need to use an extremely powerful and fast picture processor for the highest picture detail. This is exactly why Samsung UHD dimming technology was developed, which allows you to bring out image details even in the lightest and darkest areas of the screen and increase the brightness of color shades in these areas.
  • Nano Crystal Color ? Nano Crystal Color technology delivers super-accurate color reproduction for rich, natural colors. Thanks to Nano Crystal Color technology, Samsung's new TVs deliver 64 times more color fidelity than conventional TVs (64 times more shades).

HEVC technology enables video providers to deliver high-quality video content with less network overhead.
  • VP9 ? Video codec from Google that allows you to use YouTube with 4K
  • One Connect BOX
  • "Premium" Smart Control remote ? The set includes two remote controls: the traditional budget-style TM1240A, which is familiar to any user of Samsung TVs in 2013 and 2014, and Smart Control TM1580A in a streamlined body. The new remote control is more convenient for everyday TV viewing, thanks to the ergonomic body, intuitive layout of the main buttons (up to 18 buttons are excluded - the best option according to Samsung research).

In early 2015, Samsung presents an updated lineup of its TVs. Back in 2014, the production of plasma TV models was discontinued, and the production of OLED TV sets is not planned for 2015. So all TVs in 2015 are based on liquid crystal matrices with backlighting from light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or quantum dots.

It is the introduction of quantum dots by all manufacturers as a backlight for LCD matrices that is one of the main trends in 2015. The use of backlighting on quantum dots allows you to expand the color palette, in another way, the number of displayed colors increases. Samsung calls its TVs with the new backlight "SUHD". UHD stands for ultra-high resolution 4K, which was introduced in large quantities last year, but the letter "S" stands for four characteristics at once according to Samsung representatives: stylish, smart, immersive and luxurious (Stylish, Spectacular, Smart, Superb).

In 2015, under the SUHD logo, Samsung will release LCD TVs backlit from quantum dots. These models will also feature the SUHD Re-mastering Engine. The screens will be curved. Also SUHD TVs will work with the updated Smart TV platform based on new system Tizen.

Use by Samsung operating system Tizen is also new to the 2015 lineup. Tizen is an open source operating system developed by Intel and Samsung. Thanks to the use of Tizen, the new Smart TV will now have a different, more intuitive interface and the rest of the functions will be updated and improved.

Samsung SUHD models will be available in the JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 series. In 2015, models with curved screens and ultra-high resolution 4K can already be found in the 7 and 6 series, while last year such TVs were only in the 8 and 9 series. This year the model range will be based on TV sets with 4K (Ultra HD) screens. The familiar Full HD format will be in series 4,5 and 6.

Samsung TVs 2015 model year will appear on sale throughout the year, the younger series will hit the shelves closer to the fall. But the flagship models should go on sale in the spring.

The main Samsung technologies that are used in television sets of this year:

  1. Refresh rate Hz (increased this year, most likely due to an increase in the flicker frequency of the backlight);
  2. Peak Illuminator - the ability to reproduce a high level of brightness;
  3. Ultimate - support for HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode, high dynamic range;
  4. Precision Black - equalization of brightness across the screen area by correcting local dimming, improves black level;
  5. Precision Black Pro - an improvement on previous technology;
  6. VP9 - decoding streaming 4K video, for example from YouTube;
  7. HDR (High Dynamic Range Imaging) - increased brightness range.

In terms of 3D surround television, 2015 remains an active 3D system that Samsung has been developing for several years. There are no revolutionary solutions in 3D, the system is the same as in 2014. The ability to play content in 3D is available in most models, so this parameter is not specified separately in the specifications.

The model with the non-trivial name UE48J6330AU ended up in this top of TVs as an inexpensive but functional solution with Full HD support. 48 inches is a balanced size for the average living room or bedroom. I must admit that it was not easy to make the final choice in this nomination, since absolutely all manufacturers released a huge number of devices with similar characteristics in 2015. Still, for all the imposition of Ultra HD and curved devices, the most popular is still the "flat" 1080p format. The final price of the product also plays an important role.

The Korean manufacturer also tried his best. The number of lines updated in 2015 is simply off scale. Specifically, the UE48J6330AU model belongs to the sixth series. I chose a 48 '' TV. But there is a 40-inch version on sale. The J6300 and J6200 series have similar properties and characteristics. So, the difference between them lies in the presence of a special control panel with a touch button. It makes it more convenient to manage Tizen OS. The J6200 comes with a common lazy guy. In general, there are plenty to choose from.

Samsung UE48J6330AU

It makes no sense to ask much from the UE48J6330AU. And yet the TV is packed with many interesting features. The main thing in the "box" is, of course, the image quality. This model uses a 120Hz VA matrix. Therefore, the UE48J6330AU is fine with contrast. Additionally, the Micro Dimming Pro technology is used, which on program level divides the screen area into many parts and shades them as needed. The model is well calibrated at the factory. The "Cinema" mode is especially pleasing. In any case, the TV is replete with a variety of options to change the picture quality. For example, it is possible to adjust the white balance by 10 points.

Perhaps for some this moment will become critical when choosing a TV, but the UE48J6330AU does not support 3D. For me personally, the lack of this technology is not a tragedy. All the hype about 3D has died down long ago. Company marketers have other targets.

In terms of functionality, in the 2015 models, the Tizen operating system is responsible for it. Samsung's main motivation to switch to this OS is to streamline the process of writing additional software, as well as improve multitasking. At the time of the announcement, the firmware already had a very large number of applications for every taste and color. You can read more about Tizen OS.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-55W807C

Characteristics:

  • Display: 65 '', 1920x1080, flat
  • Matrix: LCD (* VA)
  • 3D: yes
  • SmartTV: Android TV
  • Sound: 2x 10W
  • Price: 80,000 rubles.

BRAVIA KDL-55W807C acts as an advanced Full HD TV. The W807C lineup includes four models with diagonals 43 ", 50", 55 "and 65" respectively. I chose not the largest model. However, its cost exceeds some budget 4K solutions with smaller diagonals. And yet, getting to know BRAVIA KDL-55W807C better, you understand why you are paying that kind of money.

The first is excellent image quality. Sony does not change itself and continues to use VA matrices. Therefore, the contrast ratio of the BRAVIA KDL-55W807C is all right - 3300: 1. Indeed, on both TVs, the image on the screen looks very deep and realistic. The quality of the transmitted image is also okay. The average Delta-E greyscale was only 2.45 (less than three is an excellent rating). ColorChecker test using 24 templates recorded an error of 2.7 with a maximum deviation of 5.06. Simply great out of the box result! However, it can always be improved. The TV in question is equipped with a large number of picture settings. The most important, in my opinion, is support for 10-point white balance calibration.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-55W807C

Since 2015, Sony has relied on Android TV in its solutions. The previous operating system - Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) - was heavily criticized, but cooperation with Google allowed in 2015 to speak on an equal footing with the same Tizen OS and WebOS. In particular, there are no complaints about the functionality of Android TV at all. Albeit modified, but this firmware significantly increases the multimedia capabilities of the TV, because it adds the ability to install applications from the Play Market, including games, as well as connect a variety of peripherals: from a keyboard to a gamepad. Plus, Sony TVs allow you to install programs from an external drive. You just need to upload the APK file to the USB flash drive and load it in the preinstalled ES Explorer program.

  • Price: 135,000 rubles.

For the title of the best Full HD TV with BRAVIA KDL-55W807C model 55EG910V will easily compete. But we decided to give it another award - as the most affordable OLED device. In principle, only LG models and one single TV set from Panasonic can participate in this nomination. In fact, the only competitor to LG 55EG910V is… 55EC930V, but last year's model is equipped with the first, slower version of WebOS. Other manufacturers prefer to watch on the sidelines. There is nothing to be done, it is the Korean giant that is betting on OLED. And her TVs are getting better and better from year to year, but most importantly, they are getting cheaper and cheaper.

55EG910V has a smooth screen curvature. And therefore, at a right angle with a diagonal of 55 inches, it is almost not felt. This may not suit those users who want more immersion. The way out is simple: take a large diagonal with Ultra HD resolution. A smooth arc avoids geometric distortions that are unpleasant to the eye. So the curvature of the 55EG910V in particular should be viewed solely as a design move.

OLED is always a great contrast that tends to infinity. That is why no LCD matrix can compare with it in terms of realism and depth of the picture. The 55EG910V is fine with the image quality. Yes, OLED is generally harder to set up than LCD panels. In addition to trivial features, for example, a 20-point white balance calibration is available. Also in the settings you can select the color gamut parameter: "Original" or "Standard". In the first case, it slightly exceeds the Rec. 709.

WebOS has long established itself as a highly functional operating system for LG TVs. The number of programs is off scale. Here, the firmware is certainly not inferior to Samsung's Tizen OS. It was webOS that became the first operating system to feature multitasking. This means that several applications can be running at the same time, between which, if necessary, you can always switch. The main feature of the second version of WebOS is optimization. Compared to the first revision, the firmware has become much faster. All applications open in literally a matter of seconds. Media files stored on external drives are instantly processed. Simultaneous launch of several tasks (from three to five) does not lead to unpleasant interface slowdowns.

Panasonic VIERA TX-50CXR800

Characteristics:

  • Display: 50 '', 3840x2160, flat
  • Matrix: LCD (* VA)
  • 3D: yes
  • SmartTV: Firefox OS
  • Sound: 2x 10W
  • Price: 75,000 rubles.

Panasonic VIERA TX-50CXR800 in our ranking is the best budget TV with 4K-resolution. And yet the Japanese manufacturer went for a little marketing trick. The fact is that in Russia, under the more prestigious XR800 index, they sell the European version of the CX700. As a result, VIERA TX-50CXR800 at 50 inches has a low cost for Ultra HD TVs. Yes, you can find cheaper devices on sale, but they cannot compete in terms of image quality with the Japanese model.

The VIERA TX-50CXR800 is based on a VA matrix. Therefore, the TV has a high contrast ratio of 4000: 1. Excellent result for LCD. Panas's image quality is also all right. The average error for 24 ColorChecker templates is two units. The deviation of Delta-E on a gray scale also does not exceed two. At the same time, VIERA TX-50CXR800 provides 10-point white balance and gamma calibration. After detailed adjustment from the TV matrix, it is possible to get almost ideal indicators both in gray scale and in basic shades.

Panasonic VIERA TX-50CXR800

The product line of Panasonic TVs in 2015 switched to the new operating system Firefox OS. At the moment, it cannot compete with Tizen, webOS and Android TV in terms of functionality, but the Japanese have ensured full compatibility with applications from the previous firmware. In principle, the basic set of programs is sufficient for everyday use. What is most appealing to Firefox OS is the ease of use and the logical layout of all controls.

Today we are going to take a look at TVs of a rather large diagonal, the best option for a living room, which deserves to become the heart of a home entertainment center. In my opinion, the most successful TV for watching movies at home will be a model with a screen of 140 cm (55 ″), of course, adjusted for the size of the room. Currently, a TV with such a large diagonal combined with high definition can be purchased at a very attractive price. In addition to large sizes and I'm not afraid of the word availability for most buyers, we must not forget about quality, it will also be equally interesting to find out the features of a particular model.

Many buyers ask themselves the question when choosing a TV: "What size should the screen of modern flat models be?" The basic rule for selecting the size of the TV: the diagonal of the screen should be approximately one third to one quarter of the distance to the viewer. The 55-inch display option I propose meets this requirement. TVs with a diagonal of 1.4 m are ideal for viewing from a distance of 4 m, and if preference is given only to movies in HD and - even from three. But this is just a tip, in any case, you will determine the choice of the size of the TV based on personal preferences.

Finding a large TV without functionality is now almost impossible. Even relatively inexpensive (costing up to 50,000 rubles) the models have all the necessary interfaces and capabilities for organizing a home multimedia center. You will not surprise anyone with the presence of a wireless Wi-Fi module and the ability to play almost any content.

Nowadays, the use of online services is becoming relevant, providing access to large media libraries, both video and music. If you have an account, for example, in the online library of Amediateka series, I recommend that you check if this service is supported by the TV you like. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers are keen to add the right apps to their smart TVs. No less important is the speed of the interface of the software shell, there are still TVs with slow launching of applications, and the interface takes a long time to open dialog boxes. I highly do not recommend focusing only on functionality, the desire to buy the most sophisticated "TV" will not be justified. If some of the readers already have, remember when you last took out the 3D glasses.

Living room TVs up to 50,000 rubles

1. SAMSUNG UE55H6600

Televisions receiving a signal from a cable, antenna and satellite are presented in two copies in the top model of the Samsung H6 series. So, you can watch some program and record another on an external hard drive or stream a stream to a smartphone or tablet. At the same time, the usual restrictions are not lifted: only unencoded programs are allowed to stream and record - for example, this will not work with HD + or Sky. These scrambled channels can be temporarily recorded only as a segment of 90 minutes of Time Shifted TV - time-shifted broadcasting. In addition, the second receiver can be used to display the main image of a channel (PiP, picture-in-picture) on the screen. In case there is nothing interesting in the TV program, Samsung offers access to many online services: in addition to the TV channel's media library, all major video libraries are available. The quality of the H6 series devices is one of the best in this category, the clarity and contrast are amazing, the colors are very realistic ("Film" mode, color temperature "1"). The sound pumped up a little, there is not enough low frequencies, but this is a "disease" of most TVs. On sale you can also find individual copies of the H6620 model of the same technology, but with four pairs of 3D glasses, not two. Football mode is a great idea, but the brightness settings cannot be changed, which makes the picture difficult to see. The Favorites panel makes it easy to find your most viewed channels, commonly used applications and connectors.

2. SAMSUNG UE55H6470

The H6470 is for those who love to make the best decision. This TV can be attributed to the most worthy of recommendation. The equipment contains all the basic parameters and a large number of connectors, as well as receivers for cable, satellite and antenna. In addition, there are interesting options - 3D playback, as well as a wide range of web applications. The TV browser is capable of displaying regular sites, including those with Flash videos. Navigating through menus with a remote control, however, takes a lot of patience, even with a second remote control with a touchpad for cursor control in the box. On the other hand, videos from YouTube, TV shows from media libraries, films and series from online video libraries are downloaded without long delays. The picture quality of the Samsung H6 series TVs cannot be found fault with. Except that the viewing angle is small - when viewed from the side, dark areas look grainy and colors pale. But in general, the clarity is high, the colors are great, the display of movements is clear - you can hardly find better at this price. Samsung ships two remote controls for most H6 series Smart TVs.

3. SAMSUNG UE55H6410

Ideal wall solution. The UE55H6410 technology is largely similar to the H6470 (also in second place), therefore it is a selection criterion for devices in this price category. The main difference: the H6410 is framed by a narrow white frame, into which the display is sunk a little deeper, which gives the impression of a hanging picture. The back panel is the same light, but rather dirty beige than noble white. The inscriptions on the white remote control are slightly less readable than on the black remotes of other Samsung models. The stands are also different. In addition, the range of display sizes for the white model is limited: in addition to the 140 cm (55 ") model, the H6410 also has 102 cm (40") and 122 cm (48 ") TVs.

4. SAMSUNG UE55H6270

Samsung has cut the bundle of the most affordable representative of the popular H6 line. Like other devices, the H6270 plays 3D movies, but the corresponding shutter glasses are not included. Separately, they cost about 1000 rubles. In addition, there is no second remote control that could be useful for controlling Smart TV Internet options. The rest of the equipment differs insignificantly from more expensive models, although Samsung claims the opposite: according to the manufacturer, the frequency of the H6270 matrix is \u200b\u200b200 Hz, and on other models it is 400 Hz. But these numbers are just a clever marketing ploy: virtually all TVs reproduce images at 100 frames / s, with decent clarity and practically no jerks. In addition, the TV can be purchased in other sizes.

5. LG 55LB670V

The operating system, according to LG, should add comfort to the control of smart TVs. The comic-style animated setup wizard and fancy menus look good, but it doesn't carry any functionality. On the contrary, partly incomprehensible management and slow work only annoy. The main advantage of webOS still lies in the control panel at the bottom of the screen, where the most frequently used applications for using Quick Launch are located. The range of programs is just as good as on more top-end LG TVs. Gesture remotes have been used on LG TVs since before webOS. Most importantly, the LG's picture quality is good, colors look pretty good even when viewed from the side, and the device's audio output is above average.

6. SAMSUNG UE55HU6900

Ultra-crisp and ultra-affordable. Despite the designation, the HU6900 does not actually belong to the sixth series. It does not support 3D format. But this TV is the only one with UHD support among devices in this price range. Therefore, the recommendation is obvious: sports fans are better off buying another TV of the sixth series. The same goes for those who prefer to watch a 55-inch TV from a distance of more than three meters. Those who sit close and enjoy viewing photos on a flat screen will be impressed by the HU6900 and its extreme clarity, and then look forward to seeing new 4K movies in online video libraries, because watching 4K on this TV display is a real pleasure.

7. PHILIPS 55PFK6609

More light than shadow. The 55PFK6609 uses the usual Ambilight backlight technology: two vertical rows of LEDs illuminate the wall behind the TV in a tone that matches the image on the screen. However, Philips uses very little power. The image impresses with high contrast and realistic colors. The level of detail in the dark areas is not high enough and the 3D movies are less sharp compared to the competition. The quality of the built-in acoustics is mediocre. The remote control fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, but you need to get used to the multi-level menu.

8. SONY KDL-55W805B

The TV is similar to the W605B in many ways. The main difference: the W605B can reproduce the 3D format, two pairs of corresponding shutter glasses are supplied by Sony to the device. The image quality is about the same, among the minuses - insufficient brightness and a small viewing angle, and among the advantages - realistic colors and very high contrast. In addition, the display of TV shows is of mediocre quality and video from the Internet is relatively good. In terms of soundtrack, the TV is at the level of the middle class. The equipment is acceptable, there are only a few little things missing: for example, Sony does not play DivX-compressed video from USB and over a home network. And the ability to use the stand as a wall mount is a clever idea.

TV in the living room from 50,000 rubles

1. SAMSUNG UE55HU7590

The Samsung UHD TV offers amazing technology for its price. It is available in three sizes. In addition to the 140 cm (55 inches) version, there are 165 cm (65 inches) and 190 cm (75 inches). But the largest model is very expensive, it is ideal to watch such TV from a long distance. The image quality is amazing and the colors are accurate. In terms of technology, the device is similar to the much more expensive HU8590 (55 inches) with a curved display with UHD support, only the HU7590 screen is flat. The HU7590's 4K capabilities are unleashed when playing movies in UHD resolution, for example, from an external library or via satellite. It's great that Samsung brought all the connectors into a separate unit that connects to the TV through a special cable. The advantage is that if new interfaces appear in a few years, there will be no need to buy a new TV - it will be enough just to replace the One Connect box. Equipped with USB and network support, Samsung is already quite versatile today - it plays all popular movie formats. There are a wide range of smart TV apps, as is common with all Samsung TVs, and the controls are very easy to get used to. Samsung also displays apps by category. A wide selection of large video libraries. Some options, such as recommended channels, are optional.

2. PANASONIC TX-55ASW754

The best networking technologies. If you're looking for a non-UHD TV, then the Panasonic ASW754 is a must. 140 cm version (55 inches) - This TV model is not available in the larger diagonal version. The image quality is excellent: colors are realistic, and sharpness is decent. The device is well suited for viewing with friends: the allowable viewing angle is twice that of Samsung TVs. The sound quality is mediocre and the power consumption is low - not even 50W. Good equipment: thanks to two receivers, while watching one program, you can record another on an external hard drive or stream a stream over your home or even a mobile network for later viewing on your smartphone or tablet. In addition, other smart TVs can also catch programs transmitted by Panasonic on the network. Panasonic offers apps for all popular video libraries, with Amazon being the latest to join.

3. LG 55UB850V

Higher image quality for this amount can hardly be found. LG's UHD TV is impressive with good quality, which drops off with fast motion, but not much. Colors look lifelike even from a wide viewing angle. The not very deep black is quite bearable. The controls take a little getting used to. LG's new webOS is fast, but the menus themselves are incomprehensible. The only benefit is that running Smart TV apps continue to run in the background and can be quickly called up. With the help of the remote control it will be possible to control the cursor on the screen with gestures - thus it is convenient to scroll through the menu, and for basic functions, such as selecting a program or changing the volume, there are buttons.

4. SAMSUNG UE55HU7200

Curved display at an affordable price. In order to offer an affordable UHD-capable curved display TV, Samsung has ditched some equipment. So, receivers for cable, satellite and antenna are presented in one copy. That is, you can only record the current transmission to an external hard drive or stream over your home network. In addition, the HU7200 does not support 3D format. All the rest of the equipment is remarkable: there are more than enough connectors, the TV reproduces all major multimedia formats from USB and from the Web. In addition to the 55-inch tested, there is also a 165-centimeter version. The related model HU7100 (also with 55 and 65 inches diagonals) differs from the HU7200 only in the stand.

5. LG 55LB730V

Affordable and smart. The LB730V is an ideal alternative to the UB850V in almost every respect, except for UHD - for example, when viewing from long distances over three meters. The LB730V also features lifelike colors and wide viewing angles, and the equipment and controls are the same. In particular, the model with Full HD also has a Magic Remote, as well as not always clear menus. The new webOS operating system still needs some work: at times it freezes. But the voice search is better than that of the competitors. So, when searching by movie name, the results are also displayed by TV programs and video library, and not just some videos from YouTube, as on other TVs.

6. PHILIPS 55PFK7109

Nice design. Light slim bezels and a neatly crafted metal stand give this Philips FullHD TV a truly eye-catching look. The backlighting on the back of the TV also looks elegant: two rows of LEDs on the right and left emit light of different color tones in accordance with the picture on the device. With the TV turned off, Ambilight can be used by manually adjusting the colors and brightness. The TV picture is impressive with the correct colors and smooth motion display (in the menu when setting “Perfect Natural Motion” to “low”). You need to get used to operating the device using complex multi-level menus. The remote control is double-sided: on one side there are ordinary buttons, on the other there is a QWERTY keyboard, from which you can enter, for example, a password to an online video library.

7. TOSHIBA 55M7463

Suitable for working in natural light. 50 cd / m2 brightness allows Toshiba to display the picture about 50% brighter than the rest of the test devices, while not going in the direction of excessive brightness, but this does not affect energy consumption in any way: Toshiba is assigned an energy efficiency class A +. The advantage of a bright image is that it does not lose contrast even in well-lit rooms. Toshiba also took care of good sound: on the bottom of the rather thick case, the Japanese placed an ingenious channel for amplifying low-frequency sounds, so that the sound of the M7463 as a flat TV is surprisingly powerful and spacious. The controls and equipment are slightly worse than those of the rivals: the media player is hidden in a multi-level menu, and there is not much to be found on the Internet except for media libraries, YouTube and some music.

8. SONY KDL-60W605B

Sony is one of the few TVs released with a 152 cm (60 inches) screen. There are no popular sizes of 55 or 65 inches in the W605 lineup with Full HD support. Narrow black frames around the screen please with their modest size, the thin stand is not inferior to them. The 20 kg weight makes it easy to mount on the wall. Good picture quality with realistic colors and very high contrast. However, due to the rather low maximum brightness, the image appears faded and gray tones are lost. In addition, the allowable viewing angle is small, when viewed from the side, the colors lose their saturation. Low Price: Sony is one of the few non-3D TVs.
