The Institute of Construction and Architecture (ISA) as a structure with an innovative nature is designed to provide the preparation of a new generation of specialists who are able to provide positive changes in the construction complex and combine production, project, research and business activities.

The educational activity of the Innovation Institute is based on the use of ideas and principles of new educational technologies, ensuring a significant increase in the effectiveness of teaching work, students' training work and the transfer of scientific results in the activities of construction enterprises and organizations.

The fundamental principle of the activities of the ISA is the unity of scientific and educational and innovative processes. At the same time, the task of maintaining the stability of the partnership system of the Institute, authorities, construction, design, scientific organizations and business structures is set.

The Institute of Construction and Architecture with all its activities contributes to the strategic development of the MGSU.

Many teachers of the ISA Institute are employees of the laboratory complex of the Institute.
As part of the implementation of the program, the research laboratories of the ISA were staffed by modern research equipment, which allow to conduct unique scientific research at a high level. Students of all courses are also involved in research work in addition to students of magistracy and postgraduate studies. The best student scientific works occupy prizes in All-Russian and international conferences and exhibitions.

Within the framework of the student scientific society, the MGSU at the Institute has scientific circles in various directions, which lead the leading scientists. Research results are discussed on regular students of students, undergraduates, graduate students and young scientists in the NEU.

International (All-Russian) scientific conferences are organized annually annually. On the basis of the Institute, a seminar for students of senior courses, undergraduates and graduate students, whose meetings take place 2 times a year, on which leading scientists consider actual problems of building science.

On the basis of the Institute, 3 branches of the Scientific and Technical Council of the NIU MGSU are working, at the meetings of the sections of which are considered the results of research, indexing, dissertation works:

Department No. 3. "Building materials and technologies."

Scientific research is developing in the framework of international cooperation - partners of the Institute are Universities-partners NiU MGSU, educational and scientific organizations from around the world: Great Britain, Vietnam, Germany, Italy, Spain, China, Poland, Slovakia, USA, Finland, France and others . It takes an active part in the organization of academic exchanges, practices and internships of its students abroad.


The Institute carries out not only students' training, but also effective retraining and advanced training of specialists of the construction complex. Currently, work is underway to improve the quality of distance learning in the structure of the MGSU.

The institute traditionally presents to their students not only the opportunity to learn, but also the possibility of rest and self-expression. The ISA Student Council organizes various activities of social orientation, such as the traditional Spring Ball of Isa, Evening of Dance, Poetry and Music, Various Flash Mobs, etc.

The Department has a research laboratory consisting of the most modern equipment. 4 graduate students are trained at the department, the dissertations are defended annually.

Every year, teachers of the department prepare guidelines for the publication and teaching aids, update laboratory workshops. The presence at the department of the modern laboratory base allows you to conduct classes at a high educational level. The department is a permanent participant in the scientific and technical conference on the results of research work of students.

History

The first specialized architectural and construction school was established in 1749 by Prince D. V. Ukhtomsky. In school, Ukhtomsky studied such masters as Matvey Cossacks, Ivan Starov, Alexander Kokorinov.

In 1804, the Kremlin School was created, which later became the Moscow Palace Architectural School, from which architects-practitioners who receive the title of architectural assistant and the CHin Class (College Registrar) were published.

In Moscow, the experience gained in the first Moscow construction courses, founded by the engineer Mikhail Kapitonovich Priorov, contributed to the development of top construction education in Moscow.

In 1965, the Ministry of Defense Courses were opened in the MISI, on which 460 people were held in the first year of their existence.

In 1966, the courses were reorganized to the Faculty of Advanced Training (FPS) of the management workers of construction organizations. Every year, the number of students reached 900 people.

In 1978, by decision of the USSR Minvuz, together with construction agencies and the Moscow Council, the Faculty of Advanced Training of Misi received a new status - was transformed into the Central Interdepartmental Institute for the advanced training of builders (CSMIPKS) at MII. In 1980, the TSMIPKS created five branches: in Alma-Athe, Yerevan, Kiev, Volgograd and Irkutsk.

The TSMIPKS has actively collaborated in the field of retraining methodology and advanced training of builders with nine foreign related educational institutions, successfully exchanging experiences with them. For the period from 1968 to 1982. The TSMIPKS raised the qualifications of about 81 thousand specialists.

In 1988, an educational and methodological association (UMO) on engineering and construction specialties was created on the basis of MISI. It includes 28 construction universities and about 100 industrial, polytechnic, technological universities of the former USSR, which had engineering and building faculties.

Along with the educational and methodological association in 1991, the Association of Construction Universities was created (DS).

In 1993, the status of our university changed. By the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Government of the Russian Federation of 15.06.93. No. 459, by order of the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Higher Education of 21.06.93. No. 41 Moscow Engineering and Construction Institute. V. V. Kuibyshev was renamed Moscow State University of Construction University.

According to the results of the secret ballot and in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 20, 2010, No. 812-r MGSU was among the 15 winners of the competitive selection of universities development programs, which establishes the category "National Research University".

University's divisions are located in buildings with a total area of \u200b\u200b269.5 thousand m² in the territory of 117.9 hectares. In September 2008, classes began in a new educational and laboratory complex area of \u200b\u200bmore than 11.5 thousand m².

The main areas of international activities of the university are:

  • cooperation with foreign scientific and training centers, universities, manufacturing firms and international funds in the field of technology, technologies, economics, pedagogy and culture;

Currently, the University cooperates with foreign educational centers in Europe, Asia and America. The university participates in the implementation of 83 cooperation agreements with partners from 31 countries in the world. In particular, the University's partners are more than 60 universities from 29 countries and more than 20 research centers and organizations from 8 foreign countries. The university is part of the Association of International Departments of Technical Universities of Eastern and Central Europe (AMO) and the consortium of Moscow universities in Mongolia, participates in the implementation of international programs of the European Association of Building Faculties (AECEF), European Vocational Foundation (Tempus - Tacis, Socrates - Erasmus ), The International Institute of Builders Engineers, the International Corporation of foreign graduates of Soviet and Russian educational institutions (INCORVUZ), is actively involved in the implementation of the International Program of the Federal Agency for Education "Russian universities in the 21st century".

From 1946 to the present time, in order to meet the needs of scientific organizations, educational institutions, industrial and commercial enterprises of foreign countries in highly qualified personnel, the university is preparing foreign specialists. During the existence of the university, over 3,000 foreign engineers, candidates and doctors of sciences for 101 countries of the world, more than 1,500 foreign experts were undergoing scientific internship here. The learning process is based on deep integration with advanced international experience in scientific research in the field of technology, technologies, economics, pedagogy and culture.

The university conducts active cooperation with international organizations, including the European Association of Construction Universities and Faculties - AECEF, European Association of Technical Universities - SEFI, European Program, American Society of Builders - ASCE, International Computer Technology Society in the construction of ISCCBE.

MGSU has international accreditation of the United Expert Commission of the Institute of Builders Engineers (ICE) and the Institute of Design Engineers (IStruCTE) with registration in the Engineering Council (EC) of Great Britain in the specialties: 270102 "Industrial and Civil Engineering", 270114 "Building Design", 270104 " Hydraulic construction », 270112" Water supply and drainage "- the corresponding international level of training masters in the specialty (MENG).

Research

An important role is given to the MGSU of research and scientific and production activities. Scientific work is carried out on the priorities of the construction complex of the country, including the problems of architecture and urban planning, building structures, the soil environment of structures, building materials, building technologies, construction equipment, the environmental safety of construction, security of construction systems and others.

MGSU provides training for higher scientific qualifications in 24 specialties of doctoral studies and 40 specialties of postgraduate studies, including in the field of nanotechnology on the basis of NANOTECHNOLOGY NAC.
