But slowly Intel approaches the ideal, a year from year to raising the energy efficiency of its crystals, and here we see the latest generation of processors. The 2 GHz chip operating at a frequency is made according to the technological standards of 32 nm and contains as many two cores of the PowerVR graphics accelerator. Well, the tests will show how competitive it is.
Desktop
On the board, there are 2 GB of operational and 16 GB of flash memory. The latter one could be considered a luxury if the smartphone had a slot for memory cards. Alas, it is not here: he sacrificed the minimum thickness of the product. In part, it can be said about the battery - its capacity is noticeably less than that of other viewing models, but fortunately, not so much to consider it a catastrophe. The MicroUSB connector on the lower edge of the housing can operate in Host mode, to connect to it external flash drives, USB keyboard or mouse. But the screen of this device is one of the best: bright, contrast, with high-quality color reproduction and viewing angles. The developers rightly decided that it was a kind of "calling card" of any smartphone, and did not save on the image. Like the rest of the devices, it has its own own interface shell, including the lock screen with four buttons of the characteristic asymmetric view, the Loncher, a few most common applications, which includes a phone, calculator and FM radio, and customized settings. There are also two applications with pretentious names "Supergallery" and "SuperCamera". Round icons give the interface a kind of style, but their location is quite traditionally. On the contrary, the settings are unusually adjusted - on three separate tabs, which may be convenient, but requires addiction. There is an increase in volume in your pocket and reduce it when taking the device in hand, as is customary in HTC devices. At the same time, some familiar settings sections did not manage to detect: for example, a battery discharge schedule. It is good that the system turned out to be a separate application for managing the battery, otherwise I would have to search for and put it on my own.
Optimization of power consumption
By speed, the device turned out to be an absolute champion of our review with more than twenty thousand spectacles in Antutu. Note that we did not have devices at hand on the latest Qualcomm and Samsung processors, I think they could with him. In the Nenamark test, the number of frames again limited the frequency of frame expandment of the screen, 60 Hz. But the test video adapter GFXBENCH was not able to complete, most likely due to compatibility issues with an atypical processor architecture. And sorry he would be much more interesting!

In terms of economy, the device was "mid-naughty". The time of work under the maximum load is one of the smallest (according to this indicator he is in the penultimate place), the same result in reading mode. It can be said that Intel engineers were worked out on the glory, and their newest chip could really make good competition ARM-clones on energy efficiency. LG G Pro Lite Dual (D686)
As apparently follows from the name, the device is a "lightweight" version of the flagship of the G Pro company LG supporting two SIM cards. The main difference is reduced processor power: instead of the quaalcomm four-core chip with Krait architecture cores operating at a frequency of 1.7 GHz, a dual-core monidaek alohygheghet crystal is installed here on Cortex-A9.

Reduced with Full HD to Quad HD screen resolution - a necessary measure designed to prevent the device to slow down to unacceptable limits, since with a large screen, this processor can not cope with no power. At the same time, the physical size of the display has not changed - it is still five and a half inches, which makes G Pro Lite Dual visually similar to the "older brother". The resulting density of 200 points per inches is not so small to cause any discomfort - it is still twice as much as one in the 22-inch desktop monitor resolution of 1920 per 1080 pixels. The frame around the display is quite narrow, due to which the device does not look cumbersome. The screen has a oleophobic coating, and the fat stains from the fingers on it almost do not remain.
Desktop
The back cover and sidewalls of the housing are made of glossy plastic, so it is necessary to keep the device carefully so that it does not slip out. The capacity of the battery in both devices is absolutely the same, which allows you to get a very impressive time of work on a minor power processor and less voracious screen. According to this parameter G Pro Lite Dual comparable to Ascend Mate, but there the battery capacity is more than a third. But even with such a battery, the manufacturer declares 8444.4 hours in standby mode, which is more than a month. Rear cover is removable, which makes it possible to easily replace the battery if necessary, and also leaves hope for the appearance of additional autonomy extension in the future. There is a slot for the MICROSD card, the capacity of which, however, is limited to the value of 32 GB, while most of the other devices are able to "take on board" the card volume twice as much.
Applications
The main chamber has a resolution of 8 megapixels, as in most similar models. Its main advantage is a reverse illumination sensor that provides improved color reproduction and improving the quality of shooting with weak lighting. (Examples of photos are given at the end of the article.) Despite the low frequency of the processor, the camera is capable of shooting video in Full HD format, which is an undoubted merit of the built-in hardware encoder. To view a video with good sound, there are integer two speakers, located on the lower edge of the case. They give out a rather loud sound, but the distance between them, which determines the width of stereo taances, is small. From this point of view, it would be wiser to arrange them along the long side of the body, about the way it is done in HTC smartphones.
Folder
In the case of the device there is a deepening for the stylus, which in modern smartphones will meet infrequently. True, this is not an induction feather, as in the Samsung products of the Galaxy Note series or Wacom tablets, and just a simple capacitive stylus - in fact, the electrically conductive wand. However, unlike a huge number of similar crafts, in abundance of sold on trays anywhere, the stylus from LG has a rather narrow tip, which allows to draw rather precise lines. But this is not just his feature, but the merit of the touch sensor screen (on other devices such a stylus may not earn). The software part of the device added a special application for drawing notes.
Telephone app
A set of hardware buttons is also somewhat different from the usual. From the bottom, under the screen, instead of three touch buttons: "Back", "home" and "Menu" - are located as many as four: the button for switching between SIM cards is added to them. Even the brightness has to be configured by hand, although its automatic adjustment has become the standard "de facto" of any modern gadget. It is good that for this you do not need to get deep into the settings, as the cherished slider is on the retractable "curtain" of the system notifications.
We write and draw
The smartphone running Android 4.1 OS, which is also substantially modified by the user interface. In addition to the "Notes" mentioned, there is a branded launcher, a dialer with built-in contacts, an FM radio application with recording support, the system settings interface has been recycled. Similar to Ascend Mate, it is possible to adapt to control one hand. This is mainly related to telephone and alphanumeric keyboards, and the last one can be divided into two parts in the horizontal orientation mode, as well as include an additional number of digits over the letters, the benefit of the size of the free space allows. The new QSlide feature is interesting, which is given the ability to heighten the screen at the same time two or more application windows - almost exactly as in any desktop system. Perhaps its use is the only case when you can regret the reduced resolution of the display, since each of the windows in this mode accounts for quite some pixels.

Another comfortable trifle is the Knockon function that activates the device when you tapping a finger along the display. Contrary to possible concerns, it practically does not reduce the battery life, since it uses hardware interrupts. Modifications with such functionality met us before in the homemade firmware of some smartphones, but the fact that it is provided here in the factory software, the fact is pleasant. Another borrowing from desktop systems is user profiles, thanks to which you can limit the rights of access to files and other personal information. Switching profiles, you can safely entrust the device to children or acquaintances, without fear that they will see not intended for prying eyes, or erase something necessary. Note that only the MTP protocol can be used to connect to the PC.
Configure the button of the button
Test results confirmed our expectations. The contrast and brightness of the screen, somewhat lagging behind these other review participants, are, however, at a sufficiently high level, exceeding the average indicators of most desktop monitors. And the quality of color renditions turned out to be at all the best! Processor performance - on average, which roughly corresponds to the processors of 1.2-1.3 GHz of past years of release. The graphical test is completed correctly by giving out its modest, but honest 3.7 frames per second, which indicates both the absence of compatibility issues and the unsuitability of the device for use as a game platform (or more specifically, for dynamic arcade games with realistic graphics, so As "chess" or "monopoly" will go, of course, without any questions).
Keyboard
The battery life with the on-screen enabled, both at the maximum and at the minimum load, loses only the Huawei smartphone, the processor of which is somewhat faster, but the battery is noticeably greater. But in the audio player mode he became an absolute record holder, withsting more than three days! There is a merit of competent optimization as software and hardware. Well done, engineers LG! SAMSUNG GALAXY MEGA 6.3
First of all, this is a screen and processor. Instead of amoled with a full HD resolution, a liquid crystal panel 1280 is installed here with 720pins. But what! 6.3 inches in diagonal, with Super Clear LCD technology. This is such a size, perhaps bust. Of course, a wide male palm is capable of staggering and an eight-fashioned tablet, but to talk, bringing it to the head, somehow strange. Surely you have to use the headset. The design of the housing with a removable back cover strongly looks like a design to other Samsung products. While the finger does not touch the buttons, the backlight is turned off, and they are not completely visible completely! You just need to know what they are.

The Android 4.2 operating system is thoroughly finalized to facilitate working with the device. Of the advantages, you can note the full support of the Russian language, from the minuses - the requirement for the presence of a permanent connection to the Internet. Another interesting application is a S-Translator, which is a dictionary with the text of optical text recognition. With it, it is worth just to bring the camera to the desired word, as it will be immediately recognized and translated.
The calendar
The device has a complete set of various sensors, in which, in addition to the gyrosensor, the proximity sensor, illumination, and a digital compass, the NFC module and an infrared LED that allows you to use a smartphone as a remote control for a TV, or other home appliances. To manage, you can use the built-in Watchon application capable of receiving a subscription video content in European countries and North America, and we only need a console function in Russia. The range of IR signals exceeds three meters, but it is necessary to very accurately target the LED on the receiving eye of the television, which is somewhat tiring. NFC can be used not only to check the residue of travel on the metro tickets, but also to transfer files between two devices that support such a function - and this is most Samsung gadgets.

The main chamber has a rich assortment of settings, but the quality does not stand out in an accelerant or for the worse. Its permission is 8 megapixels. You can choose one of the specified color profiles, such as the "standard", "dynamic" and "film", but it is impossible to disable "improvement" with fully regular means. Deviation of color reproduction from the standard on a standard profile is about 16%.
Display Settings
In the Benchmarks of Performance Galaxy Mega 6.3 deserves a solid fourth. He lost only Lenovo smartphone, but their forces are clearly unequal. The excellent indicators of the graphics subsystem are pleased, the Intel processor would be able to translate Snapdragon here, but as we remember, did not pass this test. Here we see 26 frames per second - a worthy result. But the time of autonomous work upset, being the worst among other devices. And if 30 hours of music and almost nine - readings can be considered acceptable, then less than three hours of video - the level of yesterday, and the "fatty" battery is not able to save the situation. One hope of increased capacity accumulators, the installation of which is quite possible thanks to the interchangeable lid (double-capacity battery is already available at the time of writing an article).
Smartphone camera has enough interesting shooting modes
So, the new Samsung device came out very peculiar. Performance and price is well balanced. By the number of modern technical achievements He will give odds to the overwhelming majority of similar models, but the huge screen is able to scare some of the potential buyers. Here we will try to show the result in several unconventional form, namely, in the form of a comparison of photos of the same object made by each of the devices in about the same conditions. Thus, the specifics of the image of each chamber can be estimated more clearly. Perhaps the best can be called the quality of the camera of the Lenovo smartphone. A wide diaphragm and more megapixels played a role, and the depth of sharpness of the picture, contrary to concerns, was sufficient. But in the image of LG, some blur seems to be noticeable due to the flaring of automatic focusing, but dark shades are well worked. Apparently, the advantages of the sensor with the inverse illumination make themselves felt. The Huawei chamber sensor on a dark background shows a high level of digital noise, and the saturation of the colors is insufficient (it may be possible to adjust the camera settings). And the frame shot by the device from Samsung turned out to be a little dull. However, for high-quality snapshots, it is still better to use a separate camera, and any of the considered cameras will be used to shoot the text page - text will be sufficient even for automatic digitization.
